Overall: Médoc 3/10; The Montepulciano d’Abruzzo 7/10
Hangover Risk: Low
Tastes: Médoc was disappointingly flavorless. Like dull or unripe berries. Montepulciano was very sweet like the gentle breeze of spring—full-bodied with violet notes.
Makes you want: The Médoc made me want the Montepulciano, and with both glasses in hand I began to ruminate over how lovely (and delicious) a train ride from Gironde to Venice would be.
